CyberClub Featured Models for Sept 2009 (preview)
by pml on Aug.30, 2009, under Announcements, Playboy
So quite a few Playmates from 2008 have now done Playmate Xtra – Campbell Twins, A J Alexander, Kayla Collins, Laura Croft with Michelle McLaughlin and Valerie Mason in the pipeline. That’s half the year covered already. I am surprised Kelly Carrington from the same year hasn’t done this yet.

From playing competitive volleyball to studying at the University of Northern Colorado, Jennifer and Natalie Campbell have always done everything together.
So when the twin sisters were given an opportunity that only a select few have been given — becoming a Playboy centerfold — it made sense to them that they do it together. As a result, anyone who checks out the December issue of Playboy will see the 22-year-old sisters gazing happily at the camera, naked and together.
Jennifer, the self-described “feminine one” of the twins, found the time during a whirlwind promotional circuit to talk with the Denver Daily News about the Playboy experience, why guys are fascinated by twins and a variety of other subjects in a semi-revealing interview.
DDN: What was the decision process that led you and your sister to go for it and pose for Playboy?
Campbell: We had to take time off for school. We were in college. That was our big decision — whether to take time off for school or not. That’s when we decided to do it, because we can always go back and finish school after we are done.
DDN: What was the reaction from friends and family?
Campbell: Oh yeah, they love it. They’re all really supportive and happy for us and have been calling us saying they’ve seen the magazine and love it. It’s been fun.
DDN: There hasn’t been any potential awkwardness coming from the family side?
Campbell: A little bit from our (older) brother. He was a little apprehensive about the whole thing because he has always been a protective brother, and now all of this is happening and he doesn’t feel like he can protect us anymore from the world.
DDN: When are you and your sister going back to school?
Campbell: In fall.
DDN: Do you think you will get extra attention from classmates now?
Campbell: I don’t know (laughs). I don’t know how that will work with who has seen it, who hasn’t seen it, who’s heard of it and who hasn’t.
DDN: Have you and your sister’s boyfriends or potential boyfriends been proud of their girls?
Campbell: Very. Everybody in our life has been very supportive of our decision.
DDN: What are you using the money you received from “Playboy” for?
Campbell: We’re using the money that we have received and the money we are getting to further our education and pay off things that need to be paid off.
DDN: What do you make of America’s fascination with twins, since you have probably experienced it more than just about anyone else?
Campbell: I just think there is a certain fascination about twins. It’s more along the lines of a male fantasy. I don’t know why that is, but it’s definitely a worldwide fascination.
DDN: Did you get that (twin fascination) growing up?
Campbell: Yes, we’ve gotten that most of our lives.
DDN: What was it like posing nude with your sister?
Campbell: It was very easy and comfortable. A lot of people have asked us if it is weird … we don’t think so. I honestly don’t think I could’ve done it without my sister.
DDN: Any future modeling or acting gigs on the horizon?
Campbell: We sure hope so. We don’t have any agents. Basically we are just working with Playboy right now. We hope to get opportunities in the future.
DDN: Did you get to go to the legendary Playboy mansion?
Campbell: Many times.
DDN: What’s it like?
Campbell: It’s everything everybody has ever dreamed of. When they think of the Playboy mansion, it’s everything they think about.
DDN: What were some things that surprised you about the Playboy mansion?
Campbell: Everybody is really welcoming and they really make you feel like you’re at home when you are there. I wasn’t expecting that. It’s very welcoming, the whole staff.
DDN: What’s it been like for you since the magazine came out?
Campbell: It’s been so surreal, and it is still surreal. It’s been awesome.
DDN: Anything you want to add about the experience?
Campbell: We are very grateful. We obviously thank all of Playboy and Hugh Heffner. We couldn’t be more happier.
Longmont Twins Pose for Playboy
by fanclub on Nov.18, 2008, under News
y Chris Casey,
Natalie and Jennifer Campbell tend to do things together. Not that they were overly concerned about school bills, but through sheer fate — emphasize the sheer — they found a way to pay off their student loans to the University of Northern Colorado.
They took their clothes off.
The identical twins, natives of Greeley, appear as Misses December in next month’s issue of Playboy.
The 22-year-olds say the issue, which hit newsstands Friday, has been an instant hit in Longmont, where the twins have lived since they were 2.
“I don’t know if it’s true, but I heard that in Longmont the magazine has sold out,” Jennifer Campbell said.
The twins, who’ve been living in southern California, taking a yearlong break from UNC, where they are seniors, spoke to The Tribune by phone Monday morning.
The sisters said they enjoyed the birthday-suit baptism by fire.
“We were definitely nervous, not ever having modeled before, especially jumping into nude modeling,” Natalie said. “But they made us feel real comfortable, and they are so professional about everything.”
They were initially hired by Playboy to pose for a special edition issue, the twins said, but after magazine founder Hugh Hefner and his co-editor saw those photos, they promoted the Campbell twins for the high-profile playmate-of-the-month assignment.
Asked whether it was strange posing together, Natalie said, “It was just natural to us. We’ve been together every day since birth. We have like the same exact bodies. So, it wasn’t weird.
“It was natural, and I’m glad I did it with her. It made it a lot more comfortable doing it with her rather than being by myself.”
It was a swimsuit on Natalie that made playmate possible.
Natalie was approached by a Playboy scout when she entered a swimsuit contest at the Loveland Hooter’s in May 2007. A Playboy representative again met with her later that summer after her third-place finishing in the swimsuit contest at Thunder in the Rockies, an annual motorcycle rally at the Budweiser Events Center.
“When they approached me the second time, (Jennifer) and I had to talk about it,” Natalie said. “We started to get more interested in it, and that’s when we decided to submit the photos.”
Their submitted photos earned them the special-edition shoot in Miami, followed by the quick leap to Misses December. The latter shoot took place in Park City, Utah, and in Playboy’s Studio West in Santa Monica, Calif.
Jennifer said the hardest decision was taking the year off from college. Jennifer is an elementary education major who is now thinking about becoming a physician’s assistant, while Natalie is studying biomedical sciences and would like to work in the veterinary field. They both said they’re entertaining the possibility of more modeling, even possibly acting.
“Being so close to finishing school, that was the hardest decision we had to make,” Jennifer said. “As far as posing naked for Playboy, it was not a hard decision. We both feel it’s such a classy magazine that it was not a hard decision. We were honored to do it.”
They said their parents, Damon and Kristi Campbell, who both attended UNC, were supportive. The twins said their parents both insisted their daughters finish college, “but they knew if we didn’t pose for Playboy we’d regret it. And they were right,” Jennifer said.
The sisters say they are a lot alike, but Natalie is more outgoing and athletic — they both played on the Longmont High School volleyball team for four years — while Jennifer, who is one minute older, is more laid-back and studious.
They separated only once: Jennifer went to Mesa State College in Grand Junction for her freshman year. She transferred to UNC, where Natalie was enrolled, as a sophomore. The sisters, who will return to campus for spring semester, expect to graduate in 2010.
They said they both have boyfriends who are also supportive of the modeling venture.
Jennifer said she doesn’t dread the possibility of running across one of the pictures on a fellow student’s wall.
“I honestly think if that were to happen, it’s going to excite me,” she said. “… It’s very flattering to me. And, obviously, if they do recognize us walking by and they want us to sign a picture, we’ll be more than willing to do so.”
The sisters didn’t say how much they were paid, but they did say the money was going toward paying off student loan debt and possibly to further their education.
They have an older sibling, a 24-year-old brother who is a Denver police officer. He’s being the protective older brother, Jennifer said.
“He’s very proud of us,” she said. “He gets a lot of grief about it at work. He has a lot of people who want signed copies, and he’s the one stuck in the middle saying, ‘Oh my gosh, these are my sisters.’”
